What is in a Travel Advisor’s Bag
As a travel advisor, of course, I love to travel. You would think packing was second nature to me, but in fact, I must really think about it every time a new trip comes up. This week is going to be even more of a challenge as I am packing for 2 trips at once. A shorter 4 day one followed immediately by a longer 10-day trip. Today’s blog is about what is in a travel advisor’s bag. At least the one that I carry on the plane. What are the most important things that I pack?
Obviously, My Laptop
#Laptoplifestyle – I must have my laptop to keep up with my clients and work while I am traveling. I recently upgraded my laptop to a 17” Dell Inspiron. I had a lovely 14” HP that I just loved, but it was very difficult to see that little screen when traveling and trying to work, so I upgraded to a much bigger one. Unfortunately, it is heavier than my previous one though. Sacrifices to my failing eyesight.
USB Charging Brick
As I am always on the go and sometimes have very long flights, having a way to charge my phone or my tablet on the go is a must. There are many options for USB charging bricks these days. The main one I use is the one that came with my Away Luggage. You can charge your phone up to 4x with one charge. You can also purchase USB charging bricks online on Amazon or other box stores.
SuperNote
I have only had the SuperNote for a few weeks, and I am still learning all the ins and outs of this device, but suffice it to say, I am always writing notes (particularly because my memory is not what it once was) and this is a great way to save paper and have them all in one place. I can use this remember hotels and site inspections, restaurant recommendation and more. I am thoroughly enjoying learning this new device that will now travel with me all over the world.
Noise Canceling Headphones
Another must have while on flights and such, noise cancelling headphones are in the bag. There are many brands to choose from, from Bose to Sony and many other off brand names. Limit the distractions of children crying, people have a chat or just the need to create some peach and quiet. Maybe play some soft soothing music while you fall asleep. Whatever your need, these are definitely worth the space in your bag
