Travel Lover Gift Giving
If you are like me, travel lover gift giving is a tough subject! My passion is traveling and here it is Christmas time. Everyone wants ideas for gifts, and of course, I don’t really need anything. I crave experiences, new culinary delights, spending time in another country. Those do not really make great Christmas gifts. So… this edition… Travel lover gift gifting. (The super short version as I don’t have that many ideas).
Mobile Hotspot
One of the top things on my list this year is a mobile hotspot. I reviewed several different versions of these. It seems all of them require “pre-paid cards” or global Wi-Fi day passes. You buy the equipment and then you purchase data plans for internet while traveling. I am intrigued with this. While I am okay asking for the Wi-Fi password when I stop at a restaurant or getting on the airport Wi-Fi when I am there, this just seems like a simpler solution.
Portable Power Bank
Most everyone, even non traveling people could probably benefit from this one. You forgot to charge your phone overnight and you are Christmas shopping or hanging out with friends and your phone is about to die. What to do…. Well, these portable power banks are becoming mainstream. They are especially useful for a traveler with airport stays, overnight flights and more. Great gift for a traveler for sure.
Packing Cubes
Organization is key when traveling a lot, and packing cubes are a great way to stay organized. You can have multicolored ones for “clean and dirty” as well. They come in different sizes to accommodate unmentionables to large ones for sweaters or jackets. They have vacuum seal ones if you really need to “compress” the number of things you are packing as well. These make a great holiday gift for your avid traveler.
Away Luggage
I am a huge fan of Away Luggage. They roll seamlessly and are guaranteed for life. If your zipper fails, they will replace the luggage. They have ones with a portable battery built in as well if you want to “two for one” your Christmas gift. They are stylish, practical, and very well made. My carry-on luggage is Away in white. They even come with an eraser to get the scuff marks off. They have tons of accessories to purchase as well.
Do you have any great ideas for travel lover gift giving? I am all ears. Maybe you would just like to travel for your gift, in which case, I can help with that too. You can contact me here about your next adventure in travel.
