What Does This Mean For Us?
It means that we are finally moving out of this stage of COVID-19 and things should be normalizing in our lives! Since reaching this endemic stage, countries have started pulling back on the restrictions, regulations and entry requirements. Can I get a hallelujah? This means the flood gates are about to wide open.
New Changes To Regulations
Norway has just joined the EU countries of removing entry requirements into their country. You do not even have to be vaccinated to enter the country without restriction. France has removed their testing requirements for vaccinated travelers. You still need to obtain the health pass upon entering the country, but you no longer have to test to get there. I suspect several others will join soon as well. Come on Italy! And, how about Australia opening up February 21st since being closed for almost 2 full years?
Safer Abroad?
That leads to the ultimate question, do you feel safer traveling in the USA or abroad? There is a sizable part of the population in the USA still unvaccinated and mask mandates are being thrown out left and right (if they were adhered to at all). I worry a bit more about catching COVID here than I do when I am traveling abroad.
