Packing Tips
I have been working on a wonderful trip for a lovely client who is going to be traveling for 62 days in Europe. This trip is amazing and I cannot wait to follow along with her on her journeys. However, during our conversations packing for this trip became another conversation. Now, I am an over packer for sure and usually can’t manage packing for 3 weeks let along for 2 months. So I thought this might apply to others as well who needed some packing tips.
Think Layers
If you are packing for any significant length of time, think layers. This is helpful for several reasons. One would be the weather, maybe its cooler in the morning or at night, but warm during the day; You can add a simple cardigan or long sleeved shirt for the cooler and then remove as needed. The second reason is that it extends your clothing options to save on packing. Maybe you have a summer dress or outfit that you want to wear during the day and then at night, you could throw on a scarf or maybe a cardigan and a necklace and dress it up for another outfit. The long sleeved shirt could be a dinner outfit on another day.
Accessories
It’s too bad that men don’t wear dresses, because a little black dress can go a long way. You can dress it down with a pair of sandals for a day look or dress it up with tights and high heels for a dinner date. Add a jean jacket to make it more casual or a shawl and a necklace to jazz it up. It could be used on a long trip for more than one occasion or day with a simple change of the accessories.
Luggage Free
My favorite tip for clients is to ship your luggage ahead of your leaving. You fill out some information about your location and where you are headed to, then schedule a pickup. They will send you the labels, pick up your suitcase and it will be at your destination waiting for you. No airport check-in lines, no waiting for your bags at the other end, just breeze right through. And best part, no lost luggage! There is tracking through the whole process and the shipment is guaranteed! Click here to check it out.
