Monaco’s Majestic Magnificence
Let’s check out Monaco’s Majestic Magnificence. Monaco might not be the biggest vacation spot around in terms of size, but it knows how to shine. Monaco’s principality has a history of entertainment, becoming famous with the Monte Carlo Casino. Nowadays, it is a center of luxury travel thanks to the wealthy and developed areas around the city-state. But what are the best areas in Monaco to visit? Does the city hold more value than just gambling?
Gambling In Luxury
One of the key highlights of Monaco has to be the Monte Carlo Casino. It is a site
associated with James Bond, Oceans Twelve, and more. Marble and gold are present all
over. Visitors can visit in the morning, although gambling doesn’t start until 2 pm and
there is a strict 18 and over age limit. For those looking to experience the historic and
fancy side of Monaco’s entertainment, the Monte Carlo Casino should be a priority.
Grand Prix For A Grand Principality
Fans of Formula One racing will already know about this one. Held in late May, this race
captures the attention of the entire city. Every street in the city is used for the race, while
the city goes wild for the sport. This could be a great opportunity to experience the city
come together for an event as one. The best part is that you can get tickets rather
cheaply on certain days in certain parts of the city.
City On The Water
Monaco’s position on the southern coast of France influences many elements of the
city. The food that you will find is of a Mediterranean influence (obviously), influenced by
both French and Italian styles. There are 5 different Michelin starred restaurants in
Monaco, including the three-starred Le Louis XV. You’ll find that seafood is most
popular here, with dishes like brandamincium and bouillabaisse being just two of them.
Then there are the variations of wines. Champagne is obviously a popular one, although
there are plenty of Italian and French wines to choose from.
Look Out For Royalty
The Queen of England might get all the fame, but there are still other royals in Europe.
The Grimaldi family have ruled the principality for eight centuries, making them the
longest-ruling royal family in Europe. Check out the Prince’s Palace of Monaco’s
spectacular cathedral. Perhaps you want to see a royal castle that has been standing
since the 13th century? You have just that opportunity. A good time to visit is during the
changing of the guard, which happens at 11:55 AM each day.
All of this is only a taste of what’s on offer in the Principality of Monaco. There
are still shopping centers, beaches, day tours and more. If we tried to list all of them,
this blog would be about 17 pages long. Whether you are going to see one of the
grandest casinos in the world or a race that captivates an entire city-state, Monaco
thrives on providing entertainment and memories to all.
