February Getaways
As my recent blogs and newsletters have been about festive travel and such, I thought, where to next when we are past the festive season. Of course, this will depend on whether you want a warm destination or one geared towards snowy activities. However, where would people want to go in February for example, when they are past family visiting, holiday meals and just need some R&R. Well, let’s see if we can dive into some possibilities for February Getaways.
Arizona
Looking at the average weather in Arizona, its a balmy mid 70s during February. Not too hot, but certainly very nice to be outside and explore this beautiful state. I think that sounds perfectly lovely when I am in the middle of winter and its freezing in Colorado. There are several options of course in Arizona. Phoenix, Scottsdale or even Tucson are topping the list.
Hawaii
Any time is a good time to visit Hawaii, but February is “off season” really and so it could be really the perfect time to take in some nature, feel the Aloha spirit and dive into the culture of Hawaii. Of course, there are many options, such as Oahu, the big island Hawaii or even Maui (my favorite). The daily highs are usually around 79 degrees and the lows only as low as 68. Sign me up!
Austria
Speaking now to those that love a bit of cold weather or maybe some outdoor sporting events, Austria could be a perfect destination in February. Of course, besides the obvious skiing, you could snowboard, snowshoe hiking or go tobogganing for fun. But what if you are not into the cold aspect? Well, then maybe you would prefer to stare at the alps in front of a fireplace while sipping Schnapps. You can never go wrong visiting Vienna or Salzburg. There are lovely musuems, the Palace and more!
There are more options than you might think for a nice February getaway, so if you are ready for a bit of a winter adventure, why not click the button below to start the conversation and let’s discuss your “ideal” location.
