I have been craving a getaway as I haven’t travelled in the month of December yet. So, Richard and I are off to Scottsdale Arizona for a 3-day weekend. This week I am at a virtual trade conference for Italy. What does this mean? It means that I meet with suppliers from Italy online on Zoom. I learn about new properties, new suppliers, new destination management companies, and more. Today, I had the pleasant experience of meeting with Dolomite Mountains. This is a destination management company, and they work with travel advisors (like me) to curate amazing experiences in their “country”. I cannot wait to share some of these amazing ideas for active travelers or skiers!
Richard and I were traveling through Bologna and I found the most special farmhouse/cooking class in the countryside of Bologna. The owners were lovely, engaging and we were in awe of the whole experience. A husband-and-wife team running a farm, restaurant, cooking school, and a B&B as well. This secret Bologna experience has stayed on top of our minds every time we think of Italy.
