PACKING TIPS

I have been working on a wonderful trip for a client who is going to be traveling for 62 days in Europe. This trip is amazing and I cannot wait to follow along with her on her journeys. However, during our conversations packing for this trip became another conversation. Now, I am an over packer for sure and usually can’t manage packing for 3 weeks let along for 2 months. So I thought this might apply to others as well who needed some packing tips.

Covid test positive

TESTED POSITIVE

Well – the dreaded result. It has finally happened that I now know what it means to test positive in destination and not being able to return home. I went to Europe on an almost 3-week adventure to Italy, then the United Kingdom, both on work and pleasure! I tested before leaving the United States for Italy. It was a wonderful time in country and then I traveled along to London. Well, London has removed all restrictions and I didn’t have to test to enter the country. My family came, we had a lovely “personal” vacation before starting my next “work” trip in London. The family went home and then I got a cold. Of course, I then tested and lo and behold more than 2 years into this “COVID” situation and …. Tested positive – now what?

Mask or no mask

Mask Or No Mask

That is the question.  A judge recently overturned the mask mandate! Yippee!  Those of us who do not like wearing them are rejoicing all over, while the more cautious of travelers might still want to wear them.  Luckily, now there is a choice between having to wear them and not.  Which side of the fence do you fall on?

FORT COLLINS, COLORADO

So, if you want to visit my hometown, what is there to do in this beautiful city? Well, I would be happy to help you explore this wonderful state, and more so, my town, Fort Collins, Colorado. TRAVEL MEMORIES

When we are traveling, there is always one person who is always behind the camera. They are hardly ever in the photos, but the one taking them. Then you come home from a wonderful vacation and you never see “mom”. Is this you? I recommend that you always hire a photographer during your vacation at least in one location so that you have some wonderful memories of your trip.

PUNTA DE MITA

A few weeks ago, I was in Mexico visiting a new area that I hadn’t been to previously.  Punta de Mita is near to Puerto Vallarta, which is the airport that you fly into.  There are some lovely properties in this area.  Punta Mita is a 1,500-acre private peninsula that is home to the Four Seasons Punta Mita, St. Regis Punta Mita, and 16 sub-communities. Punta Mita is located on the north end of Banderas Bay in the Mexican state of Nayarit, about 10 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. I am going to give a quick review to a few of the properties that I visited in this area.

I just returned from a great familiarization trip to France where I had the pleasure of experiencing some boutique 4- and 5-star hotels in France. I would love to share these French boutique hotels with you in a review of these special properties. All these properties were 60 or less rooms and had spectacular services throughout.

WHAT IS IN A TRAVEL ADVISOR’S BAG

As a travel advisor, of course, I love to travel. You would think packing was second nature to me, but in fact, I must really think about it every time a new trip comes up. This week is going to be even more of a challenge as I am packing for 2 trips at once. A shorter 4 day one followed immediately by a longer 10-day trip. Today’s blog is about what is in a travel advisor’s bag. At least the one that I carry on the plane. What are the most important things that I pack
