As a travel advisor, of course, I love to travel. You would think packing was second nature to me, but in fact, I must really think about it every time a new trip comes up. PANDEMIC VS ENDEMIC

What is the difference between pandemic and endemic? A pandemic is a worldwide spread disease. The WHO officially declared a pandemic of COVID-19 in March of 2020. This term can be used to describe a disease that spread across a country, but usually its more for a disease that is spread across continents, such as COVID-19. So, what does endemic mean? Endemic means natural to, native to, confined to, or widespread within a place or population. This relates more to restricted to a particular location or group of people. An example is malaria which is said to be endemic to tropical regions. Information quoted from dictionary.com

OH, THE AIRPORT

I love to go to the airport as I know that I will soon be traveling somewhere. But it’s not always the easiest of things to get through the security and all the things that come along with flying these days. It can be a pain in the butt even. THE WORLD IS OPENING BACK UP

Who is excited with me? I had a moment of euphoria when I read that the United Kingdom has decided to remove the testing policies and quarantine rules to enter if you were vaccinated. This is like music to my ears. They are also removing the mask mandate (except on public transports and such) which is also great news. I saw visions in my head of life going back to normal after two years of wondering if it ever would. The world is opening back up people, it’s time to travel again!

Who is ready to start thinking about Spring Break travel? Everyone loves to get away in the middle of winter, when we are tired of the cold weather or just have cabin fever. SIMPLY SCOTTSDALE

I have been craving a getaway as I haven’t travelled in the month of December yet. So, Richard and I are off to Scottsdale Arizona for a 3-day weekend. We will work from the pool on Friday and then enjoy the weekend with warmer weather than in Colorado. Have you ever thought about a long weekend getaway domestically? I will admit I am usually a “long distance” traveler. Simply Scottsdale, I thought I would introduce you to some resorts that you could enjoy during a long weekend here.

If you are like me, this is a tough subject! My passion is traveling and here it is Christmas time. Everyone wants ideas for gifts, and of course, I don’t really need anything. ACTIVE ITALY TRIPS

This week I am at a virtual trade conference for Italy. What does this mean? It means that I meet with suppliers from Italy online on Zoom. I learn about new properties, new suppliers, new destination management companies, and more. Today, I had the pleasant experience of meeting with Dolomite Mountains. This is a destination management company, and they work with travel advisors (like me) to curate amazing experiences in their “country”. I cannot wait to share some of these amazing ideas for active travelers or skiers!
