Beautiful Spain
What better time to talk about such an amazing destination than now, when I have just returned from a familiarization trip to Spain. I had the honor of learning about some amazing hotels here with a representation company, Creative Destinations. They present beautiful properties through Spain, France, and Italy. We stayed at 4 Virtuoso properties during my trip to experience for ourselves the service, hospitality, culinary delights, and more! Ah, Beautiful Spain.
Can Ferrereta
Can Ferrereta is a Virtuoso gem of a hotel located in Santanyi, the SE side of Mallorca. This boutique hotel just opened in 2021 and has 31 rooms and suites. Most of the rooms feature private terraces and patios. The signature suite on site boasts a private swimming pool and garden. This hotel also has a Mediterranean restaurant, 2 bars, a swimming pool, gym and a spectacular spa.
Sant Francesc Hotel Singular
Sant Francesc Hotel is another 5 star hotel that is located inside a renovated 19th century mansion. This hotel is located on the Sant Francesc Square in the heart of Palma de Mallorca. This is located in the “old quarter”. This boutique hotel has 32 rooms and 10 suites which are uniquely different and have many original frescoes and moldings. This property has a spectacular rooftop bar, where there is also a sundeck and pool that looks out over the city. This hotel has a restaurant, Quadrat” and they have a lobby bar and also a bar on the rooftop.
Cap Rocat
Ahh, this one is special. This is not actually a Virtuoso hotel (although they have applied to be, so maybe soon) but this used to be an old fortress! What a unique boutique property. Known as the most private and secluded resort, located on the Bay of Palma. Restoration was a feat as they had strict regulations to follow governing the heritage of this being a National Monument. This fortress lies in a protected natural area and blends in with is landscape. All of the rooms here have private sundecks/terraces except for their entry level room. This citadel has 26 beautifully appointed suites and 2 rooms.
Hotel The Serra’s
Hotel The Serra’s is situated in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona. It faces the port and the breezes blow off the Mediterranean on the balconies. This is a 5-Star Virtuoso property, which has a modern understated décor. This boutique hotel has only 30 rooms. They offer world class amenities, personalized, dedicated service in a trendy atmosphere. This was also the home to the first studio for Pablo Picasso. Cool right? The building dates to 1846, and during restoration, they only kept the façade of the building. This hotel is only a 3-minute walk to El Born, which is the old town of Barcelona. This district is full of shops and tapa restaurants, and the home of the Picasso Museum.
