Baha Mar
I had the pleasure of visiting Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas this past week. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, but there are several properties connected all together. There is the Rosewood and SLS (which are both Virtuoso properties). These three properties are what make up Baha Mar. This collection during the covid period also spent over 200 million building a very large water park.
Grand Hyatt Baha Mar
Grand Hyatt: This property is the largest of the three properties with a whopping 1800 rooms and over 30 room categories! The center of the property is a large casino, which is the largest in the Bahamas. The director of sales told me it’s like Las Vegas met Disneyland. It is set on 15 lush beachfront acres. There are more than 45 dining options throughout all of the properties, 22 of them located at the Grand Hyatt. There are 2 art galleries on site and numerous shopping options. The spa Espa has 25 treatment rooms.
Rosewood Baha Mar
Rosewood: From Virtuoso: Encapsulating the essence of the islands, Rosewood Baha Mar is a serene sanctuary for the discerning traveler on Nassau’s Cable Beach. This effortless tropical escape, set along 3,000 feet of that famous white-sand beach, boasts personal, sincere service, exquisite accommodations (including beachside villas), authentic dining experiences, a full-service Sense® spa, and a vast selection of leisure activities on land and at sea. Guests can tee off on the Jack Nicklaus signature course, volley on the tennis courts, and gather in well-appointed beach cabanas for conversation and beachfront cocktails. This property hosts 300 rooms and suites.

SLS Baha Mar
SLS Baha Mar: From Virtuoso: With its stylish pink exterior and palm-lined pools, SLS Baha Mar (part of a three-resort complex) is the quintessential Bahamian getaway. The hotel’s 299 bright, light-filled rooms and suites feature locally designed furnishings, signature bedding, and walk-in rainfall showers. Some even have expansive balconies overlooking Cable Beach. There’s also a 30,000 square-foot spa, twelve distinct dining venues, a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, and a casino – the Caribbean’s largest. This property has 200 rooms and suites.
