Active Italy Trips
This week I am at a virtual trade conference for Italy. What does this mean? It means that I meet with suppliers from Italy online on Zoom. I learn about new properties, new suppliers, new destination management companies, and more. Today, I had the pleasant experience of meeting with Dolomite Mountains. This is a destination management company, and they work with travel advisors (like me) to curate amazing experiences in their “country”. I cannot wait to share some of these amazing ideas for active Italy Trips!
Skiing Safari
This is an outstanding way to explore the Italian Alps in the winter. You ski from valley to valley, resort to resort, in these multiday guided trips. Then you stay at a ski resort until the next day, and then you move from valley to valley again. The alpine inns or chalets offer a welcoming atmosphere and wonderful cuisine. You will enjoy lift service to help you move from place to place. No walking, no hiking, no snowshoeing, just skiing! Never ski the same slopes 2 days in a row! Wow.
Alta Via Hiking
While Podere San Giuliano is not a large space for travelers, they have 5 rooms available for events and/or travelers stopping over. They are furnished with the early 20th century and all the comforts Don’t like to ski but you love to hike? This one could be for you! Multiday hiking trips, from alpine hut to hut. Breathtaking views of the mountains, challenging terrains to easy ones. The choices are yours. From different altitudes to different mountain groups, you decide the routes. You can choose guided or self-guided tours. What a way to experience the Dolomites in Italy!
E-Biking
Maybe you are not a fan of skiing or hiking… well this one might be the perfect one. Why not E-bike through the Dolomites? Take in the stunning beauty, breathtaking views and enjoy all the nature around you. You can choose the resistance and how much effort you want to put in with your rechargeable electric battery. The E-bikes level the playing field as well if you have a group of friends, family members, maybe children who are not as active, E-bikes are for everyone. You can do multiday trips with this type as well and hut-to-hut trips.
