Oh, The Airport
I love to go to the airport as I know that I will soon be traveling somewhere. But it’s not always the easiest of things to get through the security and all the things that come along with flying these days. It can be a pain in the butt even. Today’s blog I am going to discuss the three different things you can do to speed up the security part of the airport.
TSA Pre-Check
The beauty of not having to take your shoes off, remove your laptop, remove your liquids, etc. TSA Precheck is definitely worth its weight in gold in my opinion. Better even, a lot of credit card companies like American Express or Chase Sapphire will pay for your TSA Precheck or Global Entry. This is makes so much sense, especially if it’s free. Unfortunately, not all airports have TSA precheck, but if they do have it, it’s well worth having. You can sign up for TSA precheck here.
Clear
I have only just signed up for this one. I thought, why do I need this when I have TSA Precheck? Well lately everyone has or is getting TSA pre, so having Clear as well, if the TSA pre line is long, you can use Clear instead. With Clear, you use your eyes as your ID. Then all the same as TSA pre, you don’t need to remove your laptop, liquids, etc. Some credit cards also will cover some of this fee for Clear. You can sign up here for Clear.
Global
So that leads to the best question yet, where have you been waiting to go? As things are This one is very nice indeed. It will only work though coming back into the USA. Global Entry will allow you to breeze through the immigration line upon your return to the USA. You have to set up an interview with the US customs and border protection (CBP). This is usually done at the airport. They will collect your fingerprints and ask some questions. Then when you enter the USA, you can use the kiosk which will issue you a transaction receipt and directs you then to the baggage claim and exit. It is much better than standing in the line! You can apply for Global Entry here.
