5 Romantic Experiences In Italy – Part 2
If there were only five romantic destinations in Italy, then it wouldn’t have the world famous reputation that it does. Fortunately, almost the entire country is suitable for those looking to get some romantic vacations in Italy. We’ve already covered the main centers like Rome, Venice and the Amalfi Coast. Now we’re going to look at some of the smaller, more intimate locations that you should look at if you are planning a honeymoon or couples trip to Italy. The original 5 Romantic Experiences in Italy was so popular, we thought to add Part 2.
Wander Cinque Terre & Experience Liguria’s Finest
The five coastal villages of Cinque Terre should prove the ideal location for anyone looking for romantic trip ideas. The views are like no other, while there’s no lack of activity. If you prefer to sit and experience the highest quality of Ligurian wine and food, you’d have a fine time at the Albergo Luna di Marzo in Riomaggiore. Or perhaps you would like to hike the mountains in between the towns, starting from the north and heading south. Then the Locanda Il Maestrale in Monterosso might be for you. Either way, Cinque Terre will make sure everyone has an intimate experience.
Experience Luxury & Fashion in Portofino
The beauty of the Dominican Republic might only be matched by its rich and storied history. The Zona Colonial shall give you a glimpse at the 16th-century Spanish colony – both good and bad. For a more modern luxury experience, you can stay at the Tortuga Bay Puntacana Resort and Club. Here, experience the fabulous local tostones. These are plantain patties that are fried, a favorite among the local populace.
Lounge By Lake Como
Leaving the coast, but not the water, we arrive in the mountainous province of Como. Enjoy the gelaterias, restaurants, and cafes as you leisurely stroll around the city that feels like a village. Explore the nearby village of Brunate or take a boat tour onto the lake. Once done with all of the day’s activities, a series of benches sit next to Faro Voltiano Lighthouse, allowing for the intimate viewing of the sunset. There’s a reason that celebrities like George Clooney desire their own vacation homes in the area.
Take A Peak At Tivoli
A smaller location that could be explored fairly in a shorter time frame than some others we’ve listed, Tivoli is still a great location for any honeymoon planner. Only a short drive from Rome, this intimate town has a beautifully unique waterfall located in the midst of picturesque trails and natural gardens. For those who want to feel like they are strolling through a land of fairy tales and nature, it is hard to find one better than Tivoli.
These are just some of the options still available in the Caribbean region. Anguila, St. Kitts & Nevis and the Bahamas are some of the others. You’ll just need to keep in mind the restrictions from each island and respect them. But once that’s clear, feel free to enjoy all they have to offer once the winter comes! Soak Up The Sun In Sicily
From the center of Italy to the southernmost tip, there are plenty of locations in Sicily that could draw in the hearts of lovers. Taormina’s charming streets and ancient Greek ruins sit in the shadow of Mt. Etna, while Cefalù allows you to escape the majority of tourists at its calm and intimate beaches. If cities are your preference, Palermo and Syracuse are the major ones sitting by the beautiful Mediterranean. Regardless of which you choose, Sicily will be sure to welcome any romantic travelers with their best.
