July 2024 - Toronto, Canada
July found me in Toronto Canada for the first time. I went on a familiarization trip for this one to explore this new destination. Such a hustling and bustling city with many things to offer. Let’s not forget the CNN Tower (scary!) Then we went to Muskoka in the lake district and spent a few days on the lake. So many very wealthy (and famous) people own houses right on the lakes.
August 2024 - Lisbon & Porto, Portugal
August found Richard and I back in Europe for the first time to Portugal. He had been wanting to go for a long time and we finally made it. Of course, there is a lot more of it to explore (but that’s for a future trip). This time we spent our time in Lisbon and a short visit to Porto as well. New foods, new hotels, new experiences, and again, so much new history to explore!
September 2024 - Australia & New Zealand
This is a once in a lifetime trip. I finally made it to Australia and a brief stent in New Zealand as well. I visited Sydney, Melbourne, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide and Queenstown. Every place was a new adventure here. A couple of my most memorable moments was feeding a baby kangaroo as well as landing on a glacier in a helicopter and cheersing with champagne in the snow!
October 2024 - Madrid, Caceres, Brihuega Spain
October also brought us to places we haven’t visited before. While I have been to Spain, all of these cities & towns on this trip were new. We were on a familiarization trip for this one as well to learn new destinations to send our clients as well as hotels and experiences. We even made our own lavender diffuser.
November - Spain & Paris - then back to London latter November
The very end of October, early November had us back in Spain for a bit before heading to Paris France. It was mostly vacation in Madrid as we didn’t have time to explore it on the first trip to Spain. But of course, always learning about the destination and hotels. Then we went to Paris for a networking conference. We returned home for about a week or two, before heading off to London to spend Thanksgiving and my birthday there! The 2 youngest grand children had their first trip across the pond to join in. Princess afternoon tea was a great hit as well as Harry Potter Studio and the Winter Wonderland Festival in Hyde Park.
December 2024 - Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
And to round out the year, we did a birthday trip for my sister to Cabo Mexico. We of course tried a new 5 star resort (adults only). We took a trip to the town for my sister to see what was it was all about. Richard and I have been to Cabo many times, but this was my sister’s first time. The humpback whales were nice enough to make several appearances while we were there!
